As you can see from my last post, we were at the Rodeo last night......thought I would give some credit to the college kids that put this thing on!
Jordan is a member of the Block and Bridle Club at the University of Georgia. Most of these students are getting degrees from the College of Animal and Dairy Sciences.....Jordan will get her's in May.....YEAH! (more on that later). This is the big fund raiser for the year and it's tons of fun!!
The Great Southland Stampede Rodeo (facebook page link) is the outfit hired and there are all kinds of vendors that come as well.....lots of activities to participate in while you wait for the rodeo to start.
Here are some pictures from last night!!
There is the Petting Zoo area so the kids can visit with baby animals

There was a "jumpy thing" that the kids and I guess adults could jump on....those kids sure were going high!
And of course there was the rodeo....this is a picture that I took that I thought was incredibly cool looking of one of the bronc riders!!
Here is a video of the Rodeo Queens an equestrian drill team.

Here is a short video of the rodeo clown doing amazing riding on his horse but looking like he hasn't a clue!!

Jordan and Emily didn't want to miss a thing so they climbed onto the top of the rails to view the bull riding and see the silliness of the clown act!
All in all it was a great way to spend Friday night! Lots of things to do and some really great food.....the funnel cake was fabulous!!!
If you are reading this on can still go....head on up to Athens and go to the rodeo. Here are some pictures from the rodeo from Athens Online....lots of good pics and Jordan and her buddies are in a few of them.
